Ed Kinberg

Mr. Kinberg began his career as an officer in the Judge Advocate General’s Corp (JAG) of the United States
Army. His assignments included serving as a contract trial attorney in Washington, DC with the U.S. Army
Contract Appeals Division representing the Army in complex contract disputes throughout the United States. He
also served as Deputy Chief of Contract Law and Procurement Fraud Coordinator for Headquarters, U.S. Army,
Europe during the first Gulf War and as a Senior Contract Attorney with Army Aviation & Troop Command.
Following his military career, Mr. Kinberg entered private practice in Florida. In 1996, he opened his own law firm
with his practice focused on Government Contract Law, Construction Law and Commercial Law. He assists
individuals and businesses with issues involving contract formation, business questions, formations and disputes,
construction issues, bid protests, interpreting terms and conditions, preparing and submitting claims and litigating
simple or complex disputes before Federal Courts, Florida Courts, Federal Agencies and State Agencies.
Mr. Kinberg is certified by the Florida Bar Association as an expert in Construction Law and he is a Certified
Mediator and Qualified Arbitrator in the State of Florida. He has also been named a Fellow of the National
Contract Management Association, has published chapters in books on the topic of Government Contracting and
is a business law columnist for Florida Today.
In addition to his legal practice, he believes it is important to actively support his client’s interests through involvement in professional
associations. Since first opening his practice, Mr. Kinberg has been an active member and served as an officer in numerous organizations
supporting the federal procurement industry, the construction industry and the community.
Mr. Kinberg has represented clients in state and federal courts throughout Florida and before the Court of Federal Claims, the Armed Services
Board of Contract Appeals and the Government Accountability Office.
